Solidarity with Greece

The Save Lewisham Hospital Campaign met with representatives of the Greece Solidarity Campaign, following a delegation to Greece in which Louise Irvine, chair of the campaign, took part. We are working on a number of actions which will unfold over the next period.

GREEK SOLIDARITY FILM EVENING FROM SLHC CAMPAIGN
Mon 27 April at 7.15pm at New Cross Learning, 283-285 New Cross Rd, SE14 6AS

Our  Save Lewisham Hospital Greek Solidarity film show was an excellent event attended by 40 people. There was a very moving film Into the Fire on the plight of migrant workers in Greece, support for them from Greek community clinics and also the role of the fascist Golden Dawn and police in attacks on migrant workers and those supporting them. There was a film of Louise Irvine talking about what she learned on a delegation to Athens and good discussion following a talk from Brian Heron of the Greek Solidarity Campaign. You can see more from Louise below and a film report from Dr Brian Fisher will be added shortly.
