Petition Hunt – accept decision

PETITION HAND IN MONDAY 21 OCTOBER
Please join us on Monday 21 October 1.30 pm outside Dept of Health, Richmond House, Whitehall. We will be handing in our e-petition with tens of thousands of signatures calling on the government to abandon their appeal against the High Court decision that found in favour of Lewisham Hospital and against TSA/government plans to close our A&E and Maternity unit.

Come along if you can in the run up to the government’s appeal the following Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 October in the High Courts, the Strand.

MAKE SURE YOU’VE SIGNED THE PETITION – SEE BELOW
IF YOU’VE DOWNLOADED A PETITION SHEET (SEE BELOW)  MAKE SURE YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBOURS HAVE SIGNED IT, TAKE ALONG TO ONE OF OUR CAMPAIGNERS ON SATURDAY 19 OCTOBER NEAR THE MARKET NEAR M AND S

Appeal and petition
The government may appeal the judge’s decision.
We think the government should accept defeat gracefully and not waste any further time and taxpayers’ money.

We think Hunt SHOULD RESIGN for overseeing the shoddy TSA procedure.

Follow the link to this petition from Caroline Molloy and 38 degrees asking Hunt not to appeal.

There are further threats to Lewisham Hospital in the future so we need to celebrate our battle won but also fight on to protect our heath services.

Admit defeat. When you were elected, you were done so on the promise that you would serve and listen to people. Listen then!
You MP`s are cloth eared most of the time.
You should have gone into politics for helping people, not just because you were one of the boys.
If you went into it as one of the boys, you need to get out now and do something that helps just yourself.

Please see sense Mr Hunt and just listen to the people and drop the appeal that will cost us a lot of money. This is not a game this is saving our Lewisham Hospital which we all believe in. Do this now and believe in the people who you serve now STOP THE APPEAL

Resign Mr Hunt. Your term in office is short anyway. You have not listened to the people and you will soon be forgotten.
    Nobody will remember you!

What about a petition calling on Hunt to RESIGN. After all he made all those promises to keep hospitals open and give people choice.
      In the conservative manifesto 2010 pg 47 it says;
“We will stop the forced closure of A&E and maternity wards so that people have better access to local services, and give mothers a real choice over where to have their baby,With NHS funding following their decisionswe will create local maternity networks to ensure that mothers can safely access the right care in the right place at the right time” !!!
